In Ulman v Live Group Pty Limited the NSW Court of Appeal upheld findings that 3 Jewish Rabbis and an official of a Religious Tribunal were guilty of contempt of court by threatening someone with "religious sanctions" if he didn't submit a commercial dispute to the jurisdiction of the religious tribunal instead of proceeding via the civil courts.
